After graduating from Cal State Long Beach in 2010, Chef Maxwell Pfeiffer moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he joined the Boca Restaurant Group and advanced to a management position at the acclaimed Sotto. There, he honed foundational fine cooking techniques and cultivated a strong commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Returning to Long Beach in 2014, Maxwell quickly became a key figure in the local restaurant scene. He worked alongside the late Chef Arthur Gonzalez at Roe and was instrumental in launching Heritage with Chef Philip Pretty.
For the past four years, Maxwell has been a vital member of the leadership team at Knife Pleat in Costa Mesa, benefiting from the mentorship of renowned Chefs William Mouchet and Tony Esnault. At Knife Pleat, he refined his fine cooking skills and contributed to the restaurant's sustained Michelin-star status.
Now back in his hometown of Long Beach, Maxwell is eager to bring his passion for classic luxury and enlightened hospitality to his home community.
